Half a million views....

Well that one almost passed me by and almost 7 years to the day...

Wow..... who would have thought our hobby could be of interest to so many people, thanks to all that have stopped by over the years and taken the time to comment.

When I started the blog it was to document my progress in building the various forces for the different projects in play and to record paint schemes, scenarios and battles fought, I did not think I would pick up some good gaming friends along the way who also shared a passion for some of my more odd collections.

When I look back over the years we have had some great games over at the Wyverns, games and conversations that trigger painting and projects that I never figured I would never had been interested in.

Just for fun I thought I would take a look at the top entries over the years and was somewhat surprised at the line up... Rule reviews I get, but Riot Police and Tripods hardly mainstream, unless the hobby is filled with secret players - if so show yourselves....

And so to the top 6 entries...

Coming in at No.1 - Why? To my shame they have only ever been in one game...

That's to all for stopping by, it's great to see our hobby holding it's own in a time when there are so many other distractions on time and funds. Thanks to all the other bloggers who continue to distract me with their work, scenarios, ideas and to everyone who comments on my ramblings.

Happy gaming all.

  1. p[erhaps the best reason for something like riot police or tripods finishing so highly in popularity is their novelty. Because main stream gamers actually don't play these themselves they are curious to see what others might have done and vicariously enjoy the moment. As for Bolt Action - it seems to be going strong and the small size of the "armies" and ease of learning the basic rules are an attraction. As for the Arabs and Fuzzy Wuzzies - who doesn't like a well painted colonial army? Thanks for all the top flight postings!
