Snapdragon Studio - A nice find.

Whilst at Alumwell a couple of months ago, I picked up these tucked away on one of the stands. In a base coat of yellow I suspect they were over looked by many so a quick paint job to match them to my existing terrain.

Before 3D Prints and MDF there was Snapdragon Studio (Later Moondragon) there resin casts were some of the best on the market. 

Sadly no longer available and Kerry who ran the business and sculpted them did not sell on the rights when he shut up shop back in 2004 after a period of illness.

The had there own style and you can occasionally see them pop up on E-bay.

Imagine when I spotted these for the princely sum of £8.00 what a bargain.

A quick make over, some signs and the containers and a wash finished with tufts and the occasional rocks and they are done. These will be a great addition to the WW2 desert terrain.

Such a shame we won't see them again.

Bunkers get a make over.....

 A short break before diving back into the final batch of Africa Korps.

These have been languishing in the draw for a number of years, made by the sadly out of production Snapdragon Productions. They originally had a Northern Europe paint job but never really had any table time, hopefully the spike in desert games and a middle eastern make over will give them a new lease of life.

Perhaps useful for the likes of Tobruk or the defences for Operation Torch.

Trent Miniatures - Haitian Revolting Slaves Part 2

Yet more slaves to add to the going rebellion.
Pretty pleased with the output so far given that I only managed to grab a few hours each evening.

Again a mix of the various Trent packs.

The buildings were from the now defunct Snapdragon Studios and designed for Vietnam but they seemed to fit the bill for Slave Quarters. I have been on the lookout for a suitable Plantation House to be a centre piece for some of the games...

And to celebrate the new project the Wyvern's have new Dice Bags to blame on those bad decisions when your chit does not appear at that key moment.

UK Game Expo tomorrow I will try and keep away from any new projects, but with over 300 trade stands it might be a little difficult... Damn you butterfly gene...

Jump off Points - Pinned Markers.

After the recent game using Chris Peers - At Close Quarter rules it became obvious that the pinned dice needed a home.

Having a clear out at the weekend I came across some resin village litter from the now defunct Snapdragon (Damn shame some great buildings...) these combined with some Warbases 30mm circular bases which I ordered by mistake as they were to deep would be perfect for Chain of Command, Jump off Points or pin markers.

Just in time for Part 2 of Contracting Trouble.....
